Vimco Rolls Pvt Ltd makes rolling mill rolls for wire rod, TMT bar, section, structural, hot strip and plate mills, from roughing stands to finishing blocks. We are a rolling mill rolls manufacturer that has been in operation since 1972, with a modern unit at Dera Bassi near Chandigarh, Punjab. As a roll supplier to steel mills across India, we make each roll to the customer's mill, stand and grade. As an exporter, we ship rolls to mills overseas as well.

What types of rolling mill rolls does Vimco manufacture?
We make adamite (alloy steel base) rolls, alloy cast steel rolls, forged rolls, graphitic steel rolls, SG iron pearlitic and acicular rolls, indefinite chilled (IC) cast iron rolls, indefinite chilled double poured (ICDP) rolls and HSS (high speed steel) rolls. We also supply tungsten carbide (TC) roll rings and D2 and D3 section straightening rolls.
Which roll should I use in a wire rod or TMT bar mill?
It depends on the stand. For roughing we make adamite and SG iron pearlitic rolls. For intermediate stands, SG iron pearlitic, SG iron acicular and ICDP rolls. For finishing stands, HSS, SG iron acicular and ICDP rolls, and TC rings for finishing blocks. Send your mill, stand and the steel you roll, and our team will recommend the grade.
What is the difference between HSS, adamite and ICDP rolls?
They are different materials for different stands. Adamite is a hyper-eutectoid alloy steel roll used in roughing stands. ICDP has an alloyed iron shell over a grey or nodular iron core and is used in intermediate and finishing stands. HSS is high speed steel with hard carbides and is used in finishing stands, where wear resistance matters most. Which roll is used where fire cracking is a problem?
For mills with fire cracking problems, such as medium and heavy section mills, we make graphitic steel rolls.
Can you make rolls to a customer drawing or grade?
Yes. We make rolls customized to the customer's requirement. Send your roll drawing or dimensions, the mill and stand, and the grade if you know it, with your enquiry.
What information do you need to quote a roll?
The mill type, the stand position, the roll dimensions or drawing, the grade if known, and the quantity. If you are outside India, add your destination country.
Are your rolls ISO certified and how are they tested?
All our processes are consistent with ISO 9001:2015. Our in-house lab has an ultrasonic testing machine, portable and laboratory hardness testers, a metallurgical microscope, an optical emission spectrometer, a portable XRF analyser and a wet chemical analysis lab.
Do you supply rolls outside India?
